KUBE Kollektive,
If you’re reading this, it’s too late. You are now obligated to participate in the 2015 KUBE Klassik. Our brilliant staff of marginally competent lawyers tells me that you are not legally obligated, but I’ve consulted with several different clergy members who’ve all indicated that you should feel spiritually and morally obligated.
More than obligation, however, you should feel privileged. For the first time ever, the KUBE kut its numbers last year due to the inkompetence of its new less kapable leader, whom some are now referring to as Kim Jon Un. This is not kind, konsiderate or karing. But the facts and kwestionable haircuts speak for themselves.
Selection Sunday is indeed THIS SUNDAY, March 15. Our website, as always, will be ready to accept your entries less than an hour after the Selection Show has ended. Entries will be accepted up until the tipoff of the first game on Thursday.
Switching to an exclusively digital payment system through PayPal was less kontroversial than expected last year and we will stay the course for 2015. If you have friends without a credit card/debit card/bank account or internet access, I trust that you’ll assist them in getting their entries in. Perhaps charge a “friendship fee”. Speaking of fees, once again in our continued generosity, we’re eating the cost of PayPal’s transaction fees. If you’d like to get a head start on paying (which we recommend) you may do so here.
Also, we’re using Mail Chimp to send emails again. Hopefully you all have listened to Serial and know what Mail Chimp is at this point. This means that these emails will go in your “promotions” folder on Gmail. So, be on the lookout for them there. Tell your friends to be on the lookout for them there. If you’re not receiving our emails, signup for them here.
We took money for 441 entries last year and we plan on growing back to 500 again this year, so start your engines. Annoy your friends, coworkers, families and especially children.
KUBE Forever. Go Valpo.
Jon “Little BE” Becker.
